In the event of a breakdown on the road, a good policy will cover the cost of towing your motor caravan to your chosen destination, repairing it and if necessary either covering all or part of the hotel accommodation costs.

The internal contents of your motor caravan will include such things as clothing, bedding and personal effects, the external may include awnings, gas bottles, push bikes and if these were to be damaged or stolen the replacement costs could be significant so good cover is essential. Most good policies will have contents insurance to include such things but check the limit as again they vary between providers.

As with all caravan and motor home insurance the greater security you provide the cheaper your premium can become. Alarms, steering wheel locks, wheel clamps or tracking devices will all help to reduce your premiums.
