• Contract workers are not eligible for cover if they are on a non-renewable fixed term contract or a renewable fixed term contract of less than 13 weeks.
• Self employed: If you are self employed this policy is not suitable for you. See FAQ's for definition of self employed
• Ensure you are a permanent resident in the UK. You must be a British citizen and be residing in the UK.
• Be aware that you must have been with your current employer for 12 months before you can apply with us.
• If you are working outside the UK for an intended period of longer than 90 days no benefit will be paid if unemployment occurs during that time. There are some exceptions, please see Point 5 of your Policy Summary.
• If you have a Pre-existing condition, this may affect your eligibility to claim. Please click here for more information.
• You cannot claim for redundancy during the first 120 days from the start date of the policy. This could be waived if transferring in from a previous payment protection policy. Please click here for more information.
• To claim for Unemployment benefit you must be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance. Click here for more information.
• To claim for Accident and Sickness benefit you need to be signed off work by a Doctor.

For your peace of mind

You may cancel the policy within 30 days from receipt of your Policy Schedule and all monies will be refunded. After that you may cancel with one months notice without penalty but no payments already made will be refunded.
