Main Exclusions

The following are only the main exclusions; please see sections 7, 11 and 12 of the Policy Terms and Conditions for full details of all exclusions.

 

Unemployment claims

You will not receive Unemployment benefit in the following circumstances:

  • Unemployment caused or resulting from your employment ending within the first 60 days of cover i.e. the initial exclusion period
  • You being personally told, or made aware either before the start date or within the initial exclusion period (ie the first 60 days of the policy), either verbally or in writing that your unemployment is pending. This is irrespective of when employment actually ends
  • Resignation, voluntary unemployment or voluntary redundancy
  • Your unemployment occurs while you are working outside the UK for a period intended by you to be more than 90 days. There are exceptions to this so please see Unemployment Exclusions on our Terms and Conditions
