Public sector workers can now obtain cheaper insurance because we take account of your inability to claim while you’re receiving full sick pay.  You may choose an excess period of between 1 – 6 months for accident & sickness claims to match your full sick pay entitlement, which reduces your premium. 

How much can I cover ?

Irrespective of the reason you are taking income protection, you can cover up to seventy five percent of your net monthly income, up to a maximum of £1500 per month.  You do not need to have a mortgage or any loan agreement in place, just an income.  The insurance money is yours to do with it as you wish. Most people use it to pay their monthly bills such as food, transport, credit cards and rent or mortgage.
